Distributed Learning
Distributed learning – also known as distance learning – has become an important part of the B.C. education system. It offers the same courses taught in bricks and mortar (neighbourhood) schools at no extra cost.
The difference is in how courses are delivered – at a distance from the traditional classroom. Many can be completed online, while others use a combination of online and print materials. Some use print materials only.
Students in Grades 10 – 12 can take any distributed learning course from anywhere in the province. In many cases, they can start at any time, and take as long or short a period as they need to complete the course requirements.
