Teaching Online 101

teaching online 101If teaching online is new to you, this course is just what you need to get started. Teaching Online 101 is relevant for all K-12 educators who are new to teaching in an online environment, regardless of the subjects you teach.

This introductory, self directed course is an adaptation of a course of the same name currently offered at the Florida Virtual School. It will introduce you to the wide variety of professional learning opportunities, tools and resources you can use to design online learning environments and develop, deliver or manage distributed, online and blended learning experiences. The course consists of three Modules, all of which can be accessed immediately.

Developed by professional educators with years of online experience, this course is intended to encourage a responsible, caring and professional approach to designing and delivering online or distributed learning programs for K-12 students. This course is also of value to educators outside the school community who are thinking about getting into online or distributed learning.

To access the course and all you need to do is click the take Course button. You need to be signed up as an educator to access the course, so if you are currently not signed up you will be promoted to do so before you will be able to take the course.

We’d also like your feedback. So please click the email link on the last page of the course and tell us what you think about this course and/or what additional courses you’d like to receive.

If you encounter any difficulties accessing the course please contact the Support Desk at the VSS.
