Self-Assessment Pilot

We are looking for students around the province to pilot an assessment service for Grade 7 and Grade 10 math on the LearnNowBC website.  If you are interested in participating, send an email to sign-up for this pilot.

Approach

Students from around the province will be grouped geographically, and will have the opportunity to pilot the LearnNowBC Assessment Module. This will allow them to take sample exams covering either an entire course or particular modules, get immediate feedback, and be directed to resources to improve their skills and knowledge. The target is to identify four groups of five students around the province.

Students will be grouped into evaluation teams and given access to the Assessment Module. They will be expected to take the assessments and provide feedback on their experience and the tools. This feedback will be used to ensure that the LearnNowBC assessment tool meets both the needs and expectations of the students using it.

Depending on their proximity, they can either do the pilot from their closest distributed learning school or from home.

Feedback

Once students have had a chance to try the Assessment Module, they will be asked to provide feedback.  Feedback will include what they thought of the tests (compared to other tests they have taken in the past), whether they felt that the assessment and guidance were valuable, how the application worked and what kinds of changes they would recommend.
